Be part of one of the oldest and most iconic races in Wilmington, NC & join us for the annual Tri-Span 5K, 10K & Livestrong Mile. Both 5K and 10K courses wind through historic downtown Wilmington and along the picturesque Cape Fear Riverwalk which hugs the bank of the Cape Fear River. The 5K is an out and back course through downtown Wilmington. The 10K course is what makes Tri Span such a unique race. Runners will have the opportunity to run the three downtown bridges. The Cape Fear Memorial Bridge will take runners across the Cape Fear River. The Thomas Rhodes Bridge will give runners a birds eye view of the USS North Carolina and the downtown Wilmington riverfront. Last, the Isabell Holmes bridge will cross back over the Cape Fear River and bring runners back into downtown Wilmington and to the finish line. Back by popular demand - the LIVESTRONG MILE. Join us as we honor friends and family whose lives have been impacted by cancer. This is a non-timed 1-mile walk or run and we invite everyone to participate. Race Details

• 5K: Price: $40 ($30: Ages 5 - 18), Time: 7:10AM EDT. Course through beautiful downtown Wilmington.
• 10K: Price: $50 ($35: Ages 5 - 18), Time: 7:00AM EDT. Course includes downtown and the 3 bridges.
• LIVESTRONG MILE: Price: $25, Time: 7:12AM EDT. Show your support for friends and family who have been impacted by cancer. This is a non-timed 1-mile walk or run.

Race Shirt & Finisher Medal

Registration includes your choice of tee, ladies tank or men's tank. Guarantee your choice of a Tee, Ladies Tank or Men's Tank when you register by June 12, 2026. Ladies' tanks run small so please size up one size larger than you would typically wear. Registrations after June 12, 2026 may select from extra inventory online until all shirt sizes are sold out.

Before you run over the bridge - meet us for a beer under the bridge! Stop by our pre-run party for packet pickup & volunteer check-in! $1 from each beer sold will be donated to the LIVESTRONG program at the YMCA.

Race Day Schedule

Saturday - July 11th (Live Oak Bank Pavilion)

• 5:30 am - 6:30 am: Last Chance Packet Pick Up (no race bibs will be distributed after 6:30 am)
• 6:50 am: National Anthem and Race Line Up
• 7:00 am: 10K Start (Red Bibs)
• 7:10 am: 5K Start (Blue Bibs)
• 7:12 am: LIVESTRONG MILE (Yellow Bibs)
• 8:15 am: Awards

All participants receive a finisher medal. Individual prizes will be awarded to the categories listed below:

5K AWARDS: Male/Female Overall - Top 3, Master Male/Female Overall - Top 3, 3 Deep Age Group Awards (Male and Female in categories: 12 and Under, 13 - 19, 20 - 29, 30 - 39, 40- 49, 50 - 59, 60 - 69, 70+)

10K AWARDS: Male/Female Overall - Top 3, Master Male/Female Overall - Top 3, 3 Deep Age Group Awards (Male and Female in categories: 19 and Under, 20 - 29, 30 - 39, 40- 49, 50 - 59, 60 - 69, 70+)

Professional race production by the YMCA of Southeastern North Carolina and timing by Full Send Racing ensures a fun, safe, and accurate 5k race experience!

How you are making a difference...

LIVESTRONG at the YMCA is a FREE health and wellness program specifically designed to help adult cancer survivors reclaim their health. Participants meet twice a week over a 12 week period, working with Y staff, to safely achieve their wellness goals and develop supportive relationships along the way. All proceeds from the Tri-Span 5K & 10K support the Livestrong at the YMCA program.
