Tunnel to Towers 5K Run & Walk - Twin Cities, MN

Our Story

Born from the tragedy of 9/11, the Tunnel to Towers Foundation carries forward a legacy of courage and heroism. Built upon the mantra, “While we have time, LET US DO GOOD,” the Foundation supports our nation’s fallen and catastrophically injured first responders, military heroes, and their families.

Event Details

This is a 5K (approximately 3.1 miles) to walk or run event. Anyone can run, walk, or experience this event. This will be the 8th year for Tunnel to Towers to hold an event in the Twin Cities, MN.

Packet Pickup

Packet pickup is available on Friday, May 15th, 2026, from 4 PM to 8 PM, or Saturday, May 16th, 2026, prior to the race starting at 7:30 AM. Both days, packet pickup will be at Dakota County Fairgrounds, 4008 220th St W Farmington, MN 55024.

Registration

Online registration remains open until race day. Day-of registration will open at 7:30 AM the morning of the run. T-shirts are limited for same-day registrations.

Course Information

• Participants must wear their bib numbers on the front of their outermost garment.
• Runners predicting a pace faster than 6 minutes/mile will be seeded in the front corral, behind uniformed first responders.
• Everyone will receive a finisher's medal.
• Water stations will be available along the route and at the start/finish line.

Permitted Items

Strollers and wheelchairs are permitted. Firefighter turnout gear and military backpacks are also permitted. Only service animals are allowed; please leave all other pets at home.

Refund Policy

We do not provide refunds for the event. Registration may be transferred to another person.
