The University of North Georgia - Fallen Officer Memorial 5k is scheduled for Saturday, April 18, 2026, on the UNG Dahlonega Campus. This event aims to honor Law Enforcement Officers killed in the line of duty and raise funds for a Fallen Officer Memorial on campus.

Course Details

The 5k course is on the UNG Dahlonega Campus, consisting of 2 laps with approximately 400 feet of gain. The final section is a fast downhill to the finish line. The course is a mix of walkway and road. There is a 1-hour time limit for completion.

• 5k Ghost Runner (Not Running the Race, Donating to the Cause, Receive a T-Shirt): Price: $35. Time: 8:00 AM EDT.

Registration and Logistics

Registration closes on April 11, 2026, at 11:59 PM. Packet pickup is from 6:30 AM to 7:50 AM at the start/finish line. No race day registration. Parking is available on streets near the start/finish line.

Awards

All finishers within the 1-hour time period receive a medal. Awards are given to the 1st place Male and Female overall, 1st place Male and Female retired/active LE, and the top team of 5.

Important Notes

Strollers and dogs are not permitted on the course. Headphones are allowed at a low volume. The race entry fee is non-refundable and non-transferable.
