Uwharrie Brewing Firehouse 5K & 1 Mile Run/Walk

Join us on Saturday, October 3rd, 2026, at 9:00 am for the 2nd running of the Uwharrie Brewing Firehouse Walk/Run 5K and 1 Miler. All participants who sign up by October 1st will receive a Race T-Shirt. Participants over 21 will receive a complimentary Uwharrie Beer, while those under 21 or preferring a non-alcoholic beverage will have a choice of soft drinks, coffee, tea, or lemonade. This event celebrates the old Firehouse, the Firehouse red ale beer, Albemarle Fire Department, and Fire Prevention Week (October 4th to October 10th).

Packet Pickup will be on Oct 2nd at Uwharrie Brewing from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm, with an additional pickup available on race day. Runners, walkers, and strollers are welcome. The event will feature games, face painting, coloring books, FREE ice cream, and Fire Safety Demonstrations by the Albemarle Fire Department.

5K Run/Walk

The 5k Run will be a timed event. Custom Engraved Mugs will be awarded to the Top 3 Male and Female Finishers. Age Group winners will receive a Custom Designed medal. Age groups: 14 and under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, Over 70. Start and finish will be at Uwharrie Brewing. Race Route: https://www.plotaroute.com/route/2936327?units=km

Virtual 5K

We are also offering a Virtual Option. Your T-Shirt will be mailed to you. Proceeds for the 5k will benefit the Uwharrie Brewing Running Club.

H4G - 1 Mile Run/Walk Presented by Chris Watson

Race Route: https://www.plotaroute.com/route/3006987. This is a Non-Timed Event. Prizes awarded to Top Finishers. Start and finish will be at Uwharrie Brewing. Proceeds for the 1 Mile Run/Walk will benefit H4G (Hungry for Gains).
