Get ready for year 7 of the Yippee-Ki-Yay 50K, Half Marathon and 10K. Held on 10/24/26 on the scenic Wabash Trace Nature Trail, starting and finishing at the Iowa West Foundation Trail Head Park.

Choose your challenge: 10K, Half Marathon, or 50K Ultra Marathon. Enjoy a fast, flat Rails-to-Trails course surrounded by beautiful Heartland countryside views.

This event has SOLD OUT the last two years! The field is limited to just 200 runners.

Event Details

• Date: Saturday, October 24, 2026
• Start Times: 50K at 8:00 AM, Half Marathon at 8:15 AM, 10K at 8:30 AM
• Location: Iowa West Foundation Trail Head Park, Council Bluffs, Iowa
• Field Limit: 200 runners (50K: 50, Half Marathon: 100, 10K: 50)
• Course Time Limit: 9 hours
• Trail Conditions: 90% Rail Trail, 10% Pavement (50K Course)
• Aid Stations: Water, Honey Stinger Sports drink, Honey Stinger gels & after 10 miles Ultra Food for 50K runners.
• Course Type: Out and back, completely on the Wabash Trace Nature Trail.
• Refunds/Transfers: None

Packet Pickup Information

• Dates: Thursday, October 22 (TBD) and Friday, October 23
• Times: 3:00 PM - 7:00 PM
• Location: Dick's Sporting Goods, 3816 Metro Dr, Council Bluffs, IA 51501
• Note: No race day packet pickup.

Awards

• First, Second, and Third place overall awards (Male and Female) for each race distance.
• New: 1st and 2nd place age group awards (Male and Female) for each race (18-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-80).
• Special drawing for Military Veterans.

Donation

A portion of every entry fee will be donated to the Wabash Trace Nature Trail (SWINT).
