Location: Syracuse Lakeside Park (1013 N Long Drive, Syracuse, IN 46567)
The Wawasee Kiwanis is the host of the second leg of the "Triple Crown Triathlon Series". This event is open to everyone of all ages and abilities. The race is a Sprint Triathlon: 1/4-mile (400M) swim, 13.5-mile (21.7 kilometer) Bike, 3.1-mile (5k) run. The race is hosted at the Syracuse Community Center.
USAT Age Division Assignments: Age is determined by December 31 of the event year.
Race age restrictions: Minimum age for entry is 15 years. The triathlon is USAT sanctioned.
Sponsorship: Sponsored by the Wawasee Kiwanis Club, a nonprofit organization. All profits go to designated Wawasee Kiwanis Charities.
A Chip Timed Race: All participants must wear an assigned timing chip. Teams are assigned one timing chip.
Registration and Parking: Limit of 300 entries. Same Day registration available if race is not full. No parking at Syracuse Lakeside Park/Syracuse Community Center on race day; public parking available in Downtown Syracuse, St Andrews United Methodist Church, and surrounding areas.
USAT: The Triathlon is a USAT Sanctioned Race. A $15 1-time pass is required for non-USAT members.
Team Transition Requirements: Minimum age per USAT is 15 years old for all team members. ID and USAT release forms required at packet pickup. Timing chip must be handed off inside the transition area.
PHOTO ID: ALL ATHLETES MUST SHOW PHOTO ID TO PICK UP THEIR PACKET. USAT members must show their USAT membership cards or pay an additional $15 fee for a one-day permit.
Packet Pick Up: Friday, July 25, 2025, from 5:30-7:30 PM and Saturday, July 26th from 6:00-7:30 AM at Syracuse Lakeside Park Community building.
Late registrations forfeit rights to a t-shirt: Athletes registering after July 11th, 2025, forfeit their right to a T-Shirt.
Pre-Race Clinic: Held on Friday, July 25th at 6:00 PM at Syracuse Community Center.
Transition Area: Will be guarded. Only participants allowed. Body ID must match bike number. Transition area closes at 7:50 AM.
Racecourse Characteristics:
Race Safety: No headphones, air pods, earbuds of any kind allowed. Race officials can remove participants if safety is at risk.
Changing of Swim waves: Individual participants may request a wave change prior to race day if they believe they are an overall winner. Team swimmers cannot change waves.
Insurance: Personal insurance is primary, USAT is secondary.
Awards and Prizes: Awards for overall female and male winners, and top 3 in five-year age groups, Clydesdales, Athena’s, and teams. Swim caps for everyone. T-shirts for those who signed up prior to July 11th.
Food and Refreshments: Water, Gatorade, and food available after the race.
Race Results: Posted at the race, on www.wawaseekiwanis.org, and https://rubletiming.com.
Event Cancellation Policy: No refunds in case of Natural Disaster, Foul Weather, Community Disaster, or public health emergency. Courses/segments may be altered.
Refunds: THERE ARE NO REFUNDS.
