48th Annual Hogpen Hill Climb 18K and Cool River Tubing 5K

Event Overview

The 48th Annual Hogpen Hill Climb includes an 18K run, recognized as one of the most challenging races in Georgia and the South, and a 5K loop race. Both races support the Northeast Georgia Habitat for Humanity.

Race Details

• The 18K run starts at 10:00 a.m.
• The 5K loop race begins at 8:00 a.m. at the Festhalle in downtown Helen.
• Event T-shirts are guaranteed for early bird registrants (by 1/3/2027); availability for later registrations is first-come, first-served.
• Baggage check-in is available for 18K participants who want warm clothes at the Hogpen Gap finish.
• No personal vehicles are allowed at the finish line area.

Registration & Location

Registration will be at the pavilion on the north side of Riverside Park (across the street from Big Daddy’s). In case of inclement weather, registration may move to the Helen FestHalle.
