Balloon Festival 5k Fun Run

Event Details

Join Parks & Rec for a 5k Fun Run at the Festival of Balloons. Sign up the whole family to race around Cook Park before attending the Festival of Balloons. Arrive early to view the morning hot air balloon launches (balloon activity is weather dependent) prior to the 5k Fun Run and stay after the race to enjoy the pancake breakfast, high flying fun in the carnival, or shop the vendors.

Race Information

• Distance: 5k Run or Walk. Strollers allowed.
• Start Location: Cook Family Park, Shelter 2
• Time: 8:30 AM
• Registration: Required. No drop-ins. 350 max participants.
• Registration Closes: June 22
• Register BEFORE June 10 to receive a race shirt!

Packet Pick-Up

• Early Packet Pick Up: June 26 | 4-6:30 PM | Fanno Creek House
• Day of Packet Pick-Up: June 27 | After 7 AM. Enter through the Main Entrance at Tigard Highschool, find your name on the 5k roster, then proceed to Shelter 2.

Cost & Festival Access

• Cost: $22. 25% of each registration will be donated to Packed with Pride.
• ONLY racers get in for free. Spectators will have to pay the event entry fee.
• Registering for this race grants you free access into the Balloon Festival Saturday morning BEFORE Noon. Your Race Bib is your ticket.

Parking

Parking is available at Tigard High School for a fee (card only). Carpooling, street parking near Cook Park, or access from the Tualatin foot bridge are encouraged.

Race will be chip timed through Huber Timing and results will be shared and posted following the race.

Scholarships are available for this event.
