BURCS Treadmill Marathon & 50K

Winter in New England is cold, dark, and bleak. To spice up your winter training, consider the BURCS Treadmill Marathon (and 50K!)! You can run a marathon, a 50k, a marathon & 50k, or 2 x 50k. Register for one race or all 3!

UPDATE: There is now a Frozen Folly Outdoor 50k for those who cannot have access to a treadmill. Choose a single calendar day, lace up, bundle up and head outside to complete your 50k challenge!

HOW DOES IT WORK?

Select any 36-hour period between January 1 and January 31, 2027, to log your distance. You have 36 hours from when you timestamp your START to finish 26.2 miles (Marathon) or 31.07 miles (50K) on a treadmill. This event needs proof of distance. You can post in the FB Event Page or email/message the race director directly. Take breaks as needed, just grab a picture on your phone every time the treadmill stops. Send all captured photos that equal 26.2/31.07 miles WITH YOUR CUMULATIVE FINISH TIME to the RD. CUMULATIVE FINISH TIME MEANS TOTAL TIME FROM START OF RUN TO THE END. REST BREAKS COUNT TOWARDS YOUR TIME.

If registering for the 50k, you will have 36 hours as well to log 31.07 miles (50km) on the treadmill and do the same.

Registration Costs:

• 2 x 50K Registration: $60.00 (Total: $66.25 incl. taxes & fees)
• 50K Registration: $35.00 (Total: $38.50 incl. taxes & fees)
• Frozen Folly 50K (Outdoors) Registration: $35.00 (Total: $38.50 incl. taxes & fees)
• Marathon Registration: $35.00 (Total: $38.50 incl. taxes & fees)

Early registration is $10 off until June 1. Prices increase after Feb 28.

All participants who complete the marathon or 50km in under 36 hours will receive a BURCS BADASS signature item and medal which will be mailed at the conclusion of the event. Additionally, the fastest male/ female/ non-binary marathoner and 50km will win entry into next year's event.

Important Note: All miles must be completed on a treadmill. No exceptions. If you run outside or on an indoor track, or around your basement in .01 mile circles, you are DISQUALIFIED.

Profits will be donated to the AYJ Fund, which provides free programs and treatment options for children facing a cancer diagnosis.
