48th Annual Capital City Stampede 10k Run & 5k Power Walk

Co-presented by Central Vermont Runners & the Vermont Senior Games Association

Saturday, June 6, 2026, in downtown Montpelier!

10K Road Race

• Price: $25 - $35
• Start Time: 9:00 AM EDT
• Open to ages 10 - 99.
• The relatively flat and fast 10k course is roughly half paved and half dirt road.

5k Power Walk

• Price: $10 - $20
• Start Time: 9:02 AM EDT
• Open to ages 50 - 99.
• The 5k Power Walkers turn around at the 1.55-mile mark on the course.

Race Details:

• Bib number pickup and race day registration: 7:30 AM - 8:30 AM on Langdon Street.
• Headphones and strollers are not allowed.
• The races start and finish on Langdon Street.
• The out-and-back course crosses in front of the Vermont State House and proceeds to the Montpelier Bike Path.
• The 10k race serves as the Vermont Senior Games Association's 10k state championship road race for ages 50 and up.
• The 5k power walk is the 2026 VSGA state championship power walk event.
