Coal & Coke Fireworks 30/10 Miler

Welcome to the inaugural Coal & Coke Fireworks 30/10 Miler, presented by BALS (Be Active. Live Spontaneous.) Racing. This event utilizes the Coal & Coke Trail system, featuring a 5-mile out-and-back loop (10-mile loop) with approximately 145 feet of gain/loss per loop. The course is a wide, non-technical double track, consisting of 100% flat and fast crushed gravel and pavement, offering participants a great opportunity to achieve a personal record.

Runners can set up their crewing areas near the start/finish line starting at 5:30 AM on race morning.

Aid Stations

BALS Racing emphasizes healthy food as fuel. There will be two aid stations:

• Start/Finish Line: Hot organic food (protein pancakes, grilled cheese, cheese quesadillas, etc.), organic fruit, chips, candy, cookies, water, and Just Ingredients electrolyte mix.
• 5 Mile Turn Around: Organic fruit, chips, candy, cookies, water, and Just Ingredients electrolyte mix.

Swag Bag and Awards

The Swag Bag includes an Ice Bandana, BALS Sticker, SNB sample, and other goodies. All finishers will receive an Etched Pint Glass, a Handmade Medal from Brie Los, and a Coal & Coke 30/10 Miler Sticker.

The top 3 male and female finishers in both the 30 Miler and 10 Miler races will receive custom handmade awards from Brie Los and www.wickedskinsawards.com.

Packet Pick Up

• Friday, July 10, 2026: 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM (Location TBD)
• Saturday, July 11, 2026: 5:30 AM - 6:30 AM (Start/Finish line)

• Military Discount: Current/veteran military receive 15% off with code: Military15.

• BALS Athletic Wear: Rebranding with new designs launching throughout the year.
• Pacers: Not allowed, with exceptions authorized by Steven Lutjens (BALS Racing) on a case-by-case basis.
• Lodging: TBD.
• Refund Policy: No refunds. Transfers to the following year or another runner are possible in specific circumstances (earthquakes, wildfires, snow storms, tropical storms, tigers taking over the course). Pregnancy deferral for 1 year is also offered.
• Spirit Animal: Raccoon (chosen for its masked look, night vision, hearing, and problem-solving abilities).
