Event Details

Join the Uptown Gentlefriends for the Dash and Deciduous 5k trail run at Crystal Lake Park. This is a super secret, FREE, timed 'FATASS' 5k, designed as a fun, organized group run without the typical race frills. Registration is required due to a field size limit of 40 runners, with additional participants placed on a waiting list.

While the event is free, it relies on runner donations to enhance the experience. 100% of contributions directly benefit the runners.

Awards

• Top Male and Female in age groups: 29 and Under, 30 to 39, Masters (40+)
• "Easter eggs" may be hidden along the course for small prizes if participation is high.

Course Description

This challenging course features approximately 300ft of elevation gain, ankle-twisting roots, and steep, dangerous hills. Veteran trail runners will enjoy the challenge, while beginners may find it demanding. The course will be well-marked, and a water station will be available at the halfway point.

Spectator Information

The course is spectator-friendly, with cheering points at the start, mile 0.50, mile 0.80, and mile 2.1. Refreshments will be served post-run near the sign-in area, followed by an award ceremony.

Important Notes

Carpooling is strongly encouraged due to limited parking. Participants are responsible for their own safety on Crystal Lake Park's challenging trails, which include steep and potentially dangerous downhill sections.
