Elm Creek Backyard Ultra

Event Overview

Welcome to year four of the Elm Creek Backyard Ultra! Inspired by the original Big Dog’s Backyard Ultra, this unique race challenges runners to complete laps every hour until the last runner is standing.

Course Details

The race will take place at Elm Creek Park Reserve, featuring a beautiful course that traverses the south side of the park with 296 feet of elevation gain and loss.

Event Timeline

The race begins at 12:00 PM CDT on April 25, 2025, with loops starting at the top of each hour. Registration closes on April 22, 2025, or when capacity is reached (175 runners total).

Rules

• Each loop must be started by the top of the hour.
• Runners will not receive aid once the bell rings.
• Every participant’s distance will be recorded.
