The Fighting the Fight Within 5K (FFW) is made up of a 5K timed run and a 2-mile tribute walk. The event will be held at the Veterans Serving Veterans (VSV) Community Park located at 3740 S. 41 Rd. in Cadillac, MI. VSV is a Cadillac, Michigan nonprofit that honors and serves those who have served and protected at home and abroad.

Event Details:

• 5K Timed Run: Professionally timed. Consider dressing in patriotic colors or wear a shirt to represent a military branch or in memory of someone you’ve lost. Awards for overall top male/female and top 3 in age groups (9 and under to 70+).
• 2 Mile Tribute Walk: Untimed walk. Consider dressing in patriotic colors or wear a shirt to represent a military branch or in memory of someone you’ve lost.

Funds raised will support the VSV outreach center, transitional housing, veterans’ scholarship, and other programs for local veterans.

Pricing:

• 5K: $35 per person
• 5K Special Pricing (Ages 8-18): $20
• 2 Mile Walk: $22 per person
• Kids 5 and under: Free (no swag)

An additional online processing fee applies at checkout.

Race Day Schedule (subject to change):

• Onsite check-in: 7:00 AM - 8:15 AM
• Opening remarks: 8:30 AM
• Race start: 5K @ 9:00 AM; 2-mile @ 9:05 AM
• Closing Ceremony/Awards: 10:45 AM (TBD)
