The Folding Mountain Ultra is a celebration of grit, camaraderie, and big-mountain running on the edge of Jasper National Park. Set against the dramatic backdrop of the Fiddle Range and Athabasca Valley, runners take on rugged alpine terrain, exposed ridgelines, and sweeping views that define the Rockies. With 25KM, 60KM Solo, and 60KM Relay distances, this event offers something for both seasoned ultrarunners and those ready to take on their first big mountain challenge. Expect steep climbs, rewarding descents, and a mountain experience that will push and inspire you in equal measure.

Our start and finish line at Folding Mountain Landing – home to Folding Mountain Brewing, Jasper East Cabins, and Jasper East Hostel – will be alive all day with music, food, and race-day energy. Whether you’re racing, crewing, or cheering, this is the kind of place you’ll want to stay awhile. Nestled at the entrance to Jasper National Park, this is one of the most stunning regions in Canada, surrounded by endless opportunities for adventure. From hiking and hot springs to lakes, bike trails, and mountain-town dining, it’s a wonderful destination for runners, families, and outdoor enthusiasts alike.

Schedule

• Friday, June 5: Race Check-In & Race Package Pickup at Jasper East Hostel (3pm-8pm)
• Saturday, June 6 – Race Day: Start/Finish at Folding Mountain Brewing. Pre-Race Briefing (Mandatory) at 6:45 AM. 7:00 AM – 60KM & 25KM Start. All-day food, drinks, and music at Folding Mountain Landing. Awards in the afternoon.

Registration opens November 21, 2025 at 8:00am MST

  • 25KM – $155 + GST & Race Roster Fee
  • 60KM Relay – $175 per person + GST & Race Roster Fee
  • 60KM Solo – $195 + GST & Race Roster Fee
• After December 31, 2025
  • 25KM – $180 + GST & Race Roster Fee
  • 60KM Relay – $200 per person + GST & Race Roster Fee
  • 60KM Solo – $220 + GST & Race Roster Fee

All entries include: Race-branded tee, Finisher’s medal, On-course nutrition & hydration, Post-race food, Beer from Folding Mountain Brewing, Donation to Hinton Search and Rescue.
