Georgia Sky to Summit

Georgia Sky to Summit - October 24 - 25, 2026

Fall trail running at its finest! Sky to Summit offers an ultimate Fall trail running adventure exploring the incredibly scenic mountains surrounding Sky Valley, Georgia. Runners will experience massive waterfalls, reach the 2nd highest point in Georgia (Rabun Bald), and traverse miles of serene trails filled with peak Fall colors. Enjoy nonstop wide-open views of three different states.

This race is dedicated to Victor Mariano, a beloved friend, volunteer, and trail maintainer.

Quick Facts:

• 50k: 7,500 ft gain - 11 hour cutoff. Starts Saturday.
• 25k: 3,500 ft gain/loss - 5.5 hour cutoff. Starts Sunday. (This is not a hiker-friendly race; running downhill is required.)
• All races start and finish at Sky Valley, Georgia.

Swag:

• 50k Finishers: Medal, pint glass, hat, free photos, and post-race meal.
• 25k Finishers: Medal and hat.
• *To be guaranteed a hat/pint glass/finisher's medal, register by September 1st.

Giving Back:

This race and its director contribute to maintaining the trails used for the event, with over 3500 man-hours of trail work invested. Run Bum Races also donates to the Blue Ridge Bartram Trail Conservancy.
