Event Details

The Jackpine Savage Mountain Bike Race, brought to you by Spooner Health, takes place on Saturday, August 1, 2026, on the City Park trails in Spooner, WI. The race start will be near the trailhead entrance behind Spooner High School, with parking available in the west parking lot.

Courses

The race consists of singletrack mountain bike trail, cross-country ski trail, and a short amount of pavement. All levels of mountain bike racers are welcome, though off-road riding experience is necessary. Most singletrack is beginner level, with some intermediate sections.

• Jackpine Savage 1 lap Mountain Bike Race: 4.3 miles
• Jackpine Savage 2 lap Mountain Bike Race: 8.6 miles
• Jackpine Savage 3 lap Mountain Bike Race: 13 miles
• Jackpine Savage Kid's Short Track Race

Schedule

A mass start will be utilized, with 3-lap racers going first, followed by 2-lap racers, and then 1-lap racers. The main races start at 10:00 AM CDT. The Kid's Short Track Race will start at 11:30 AM CDT, with awards to follow.

Registration

Online registration is available. Current prices for the main races are $20, with prices increasing after June 1, 2026. The Kid's Short Track Race is free. Course Information

Race maps are available on the event page and Trailforks.com. The course is open for public use and can be ridden at any point before the race. A full course setup will take place the day before the race, allowing for pre-ride opportunities on Friday afternoon.
