Keith Nintzel Memorial 5K

Event Details

The Keith Nintzel Memorial 5K is held in honor of Keith Nintzel, funding a scholarship at Sayville High School. This race serves as a lasting tribute to his memory and supports future scholarships.

Race Information

• Packet Pickup: Early packet pickup is available at Sayville Running Company (temporary location: warehouse behind house at 35 Overton St, Sayville) on Friday, June 5th, 2026, from noon until 5pm. Race day pickup is at Common Ground Park on Candee Avenue in Sayville from 7:30am until 8:45am.
• Awards: Awards will be presented to the top three finishers in age groups starting from 10 and Under, up to 85+. Course records are engraved in stone at the Common Ground; break a record to have your name inscribed. Current records are Danny Connelly - 14:37 (men) and Christine Eisenberg - 17:10 (women).
• T-Shirts: The first 400 participants are guaranteed a high-quality technical fabric t-shirt with the race logo.
• Post-Race Festivities: Enjoy live music by The Cantankerous Bunny Rodents Band and participate in a huge raffle featuring gift certificates and merchandise from local merchants.
• Strollers: Jogging strollers are welcome; participants are asked to be courteous to other racers and allow plenty of space.

Sayville Summer Series

The Nintzel 5K is the first race in the Sayville Summer Series. Save money by registering for all five races at once:
