Lake Bluff PTO Pumpkin Chase

The Lake Bluff PTO Pumpkin Chase 5K and 1 Mile Fun Run is on Saturday, October 24, 2026. The 5K starts at 8:00 AM CDT and the Fun Run starts at 9:15 AM CDT. Our 5K course is a certified course (USATF- IL-14092-JW) that travels along the beautiful tree lined streets of east Lake Bluff down to the bluff overlooking the shores of Lake Michigan. The 1 Mile Fun Run is a family favorite with K-8th grade bragging rights on the line. Stick around for post race refreshments, camaraderie, and awards after each race!

Race Details:

• Location: 31 E. Sheridan Place, Lake Bluff, IL 60044
• Features: T-shirt (guaranteed if registered by October 5, 2026), USATF Certified 5K Course, CARA Runner’s Choice Race Circuit, Bib Chip Timing, Food & Drinks, Awards for multiple age groups.
• Packet Pickup: Friday, October 23, 2026, 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM at Lake Bluff Middle School. Saturday, October 24, 2026, 6:45 AM until race time at Lake Bluff Middle School.
• Course Information: The 5K course begins and ends next to the Lake Bluff Middle School. A 15 minute mile pace or faster is encouraged; course support may become unavailable for those slower than this pace. Roads will reopen by 10:30 AM.
• Safety: Runners need to exercise caution as portions of the race are on streets shared with traffic. Strollers/baby joggers are allowed but should go to the back. No dogs allowed on course (service animals permitted).
