LASAA’s mission is to organize athletic events for its members, promoting health, fitness, and camaraderie. The Mug Run series, which began in 1993, has grown significantly and now welcomes the public. This year's Altadena Forever Run commemorates the two-year anniversary of the Altadena Eaton Fire, serving as a symbol of resilience and recovery. Proceeds will support community-benefit initiatives connected to the Eaton Fire Survivors organization and programs supported by the Altadena Sheriff’s Support Group.

Events:

• 1K Family Run/Walk: Free for kids 10 and under. Starts at 10:00 AM PST.
• 5K: Starts at 8:00 AM PST. Price: $48.70 (incl. $3.70 Fee).
• 10K: Starts at 8:00 AM PST. Price: $59.30 (incl. $4.30 Fee).

Start & Finish Location: Mariposa Junction (Mariposa Street between El Molino Avenue and Lake Avenue), 849 E. Mariposa Street, Altadena, CA US 91001.

Packet Pickup Location: Grocery Outlet Parking Lot Altadena, 2270 Lake Ave, Altadena, CA 91001 (Days and Hours TBD).

Course Descriptions:

• 5K Route: Extends into lower foothill neighborhoods east of Lake Avenue, lined with volunteers and cheering residents.
• 10K Route: Follows the 5K route, offering views of the San Gabriel Mountains, returning toward the Mariposa business district, and passing through neighborhoods in various stages of rebuilding, including Charles White Park.
• 1K Family Run/Walk: Starts at El Molino Avenue, heads west past the Altadena Library, and loops back to Mariposa Street.
