The Lula Lake Trail Blazer is a race series started in 2019 by Lula Lake Land Trust to raise money for their trail building efforts. Over 40-miles of trail have been built on their properties across Lookout Mountain. Your participation directly supports trail maintenance and construction.

This race is designed for trail runners with 10K, Half Marathon, and 50K courses that utilize Lula Lake's famous trail systems. The race course will be well marked.

Timeline:

• 6:30 AM ET - Check-in opens for 50K
• 7:30 AM ET - 50K Start
• 8:15 AM ET - Check-in opens for Half Marathon
• 9:00 AM ET - Half Marathon start
• 9:15 AM ET - Check-in opens for the 10K
• 10:00 AM ET - 10K race start
• 10:15 AM ET - Kids Fun Run (1 mile)
• 11:30 AM - 1:30 PM ET - Afterparty & food
• 12:30 PM ET - Beer Mile

Cut-off times: 1:00 PM ET for 10K and Half, 5:30 PM ET for 50K.

Registration Details:

• Cutoff for race t-shirt: 10/10/26.
• Adult Racers:
• Early Registration (thru 9/8/26): $70 (10K), $80 (Half-Marathon), $100 (50K)
• Prices increase by $10 on September 8.
• Registration includes food, drink, and afterparty.
• Kids Fun Run (ages 12 & under): 1 mile distance. $15 (includes ticket & food, shirts NOT included).

Add-ons:

• Friday night campout with bonfire + night fun run: $10/individual. Gates open at 4:00 PM ET, fun run starts at 7 PM ET. LIMITED.
• Beer Mile: $10/individual. 21+ event. Drink 4 beers and run 4 laps around the gravel road. Starts at 12:30 PM.

Prize Categories: Top 3 for Women, Men, and Non-Binary in 10K, Half Marathon, and 50K.

Courses:

• 10K Course: 630 ft. elevation gain. Follows Lula Lake's waterfalls, bluff overlook, and Rock Creek.
• Half Marathon Course: 1,400+ ft. elevation gain. Includes Core Preserve and Moonshine Trails.
• 50K Course: ~5,000 ft. elevation gain. Follows half marathon course for first ~10 miles, then continues to Nickajack section.

Aid Stations: 6 aid stations and 1 light aid station along the 50k course, spaced approx. every 3-4 miles. Stocked with water, Tailwind, Cokes, sandwiches, crackers, chips, pickles, oranges/bananas, trail mix. Aid station 5 has only water.

Refunds / Transfers / Deferments: NO refunds or transfers. Deferrals only in certain medical situations.

Weather: Event will be rain or shine. Delays or rescheduling for extremely severe weather.
