Marquette Trail 50 Ultramarathon Race Weekend

Welcome to the 2026 edition of the Marquette Trail 50 Ultramarathon Race Weekend in Michigan's Upper Peninsula, proudly sponsored by Queen City Running Company. The event features 50-kilometer and 50-mile distances on a course that is mostly single-track, climbing four peaks: Sugarloaf, Top-of-the-World, Bareback, and Hogback. All peaks offer views of Lake Superior, and parts of the course run along its shoreline. The trail terrain is rated moderate to difficult with significant climbs and technical sections, described by Ultrarunning Magazine as "Hilly" (3/5) and "Trail with substantial rocks, roots and/or ruts" (4/5).

Additionally, a 1-mile trail race for kids will be held on Friday evening at the Forestville Noquemanon Trailhead. Volunteer opportunities are available with incentives, including a complimentary entry for 8+ hours of service.
