Team Red Shamrock Trail Challenge

15th Annual Team Red Shamrock Trail Challenge

This event benefits the Red Shamrock Foundation (RSF) and takes place at Coralville Creekside Park. It features a 5K, a 10-mile race, and a new 1,500-meter fun run to celebrate the 15th anniversary.

Awards ceremonies for the 5K will begin around 10:00 AM, and for the 10-mile race around 11:15 AM. The 10-mile participants must finish by noon. The race will be chip-timed by Nonstop Race Management.

Registration Info

Registration opens January 1, 2026, with a special one-day fee. Pediatric cancer survivors receive free entry (contact [email protected] for a coupon code).

• 5K: $25 (Jan 1, 2026), $40 (Jan 2-Feb 28), $50 (Mar 1-28), $55 (day-of)
• 10 mile: $35 (Jan 1, 2026), $50 (Jan 2-Feb 28), $60 (Mar 1-28), $65 (day-of)
• 1500M Fun Run: $15

Note: No refunds or bib transfers. The race reserves the right to modify or cancel the event due to safety, trail conditions, natural disaster, pandemics, or restrictions, with no refund of registration fees.

Deferral Policy

Deferrals to the 2027 race are possible via UltraSignUp until March 28, 2026.

No Coast Trail Series

This event is part of the No Coast Trail Series, promoting trail running in Central and Eastern Iowa. More info at http://www.nocoasttrailseries.com.

Course Info (Subject to Change)

The 5K and 10-mile races share the same start/finish line. The 5K turns around at approximately 2 miles. The 10-mile course is an out-and-back route on grass, dirt, and paved trails, including the Cross/Flow trails and Woodpecker trail. Leashed dogs are welcome.

Aid Stations & Facilities

Water and snacks are available at the start/finish. Flush toilets and running water are also available at the start/finish.

Swag & Awards

Swag (short-sleeve tee included, option to upgrade to long-sleeve hooded tee) is for 5K and 10-mile participants. Shirts are not guaranteed if registration is after March 20. Top male and female winners in each race receive a free pair of running shoes from Active Endeavors. Age group awards will also be given.

Packet Pick-Up

Friday, April 3: 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM at Active Endeavors, 920 E 2nd Ave Suite 110, Coralville, Iowa.

Race Day: 7:30 AM - 8:30 AM at the starting line.
