The Virginia Creeper Marathon takes place on the scenic Virginia Creeper Trail, a former railroad bed with a flat to gentle grade, making it ideal for runners. The race is set for April 4, 2027, starting and finishing at the Abingdon Trailhead.
Course Details
The course features two out-and-back segments with aid stations every 3-3.5 miles offering water, sports drinks, refreshments, and homemade goodies. The course is USATF Certified and is suitable for Boston Marathon qualifiers.
