18th Annual Waldwick Chamber of Commerce 5K Run & 1 Mile Walk

Date: Sunday, May 3, 2026

Join us for the 18th Annual Waldwick Chamber of Commerce 5K Run & 1 Mile Walk, a patriotic celebration of America's 250th anniversary. This event promises excitement, community spirit, and a fast, fun competition for all levels.

The race features a USATF-NJ certified 5K course through scenic Waldwick Borough Park, finishing on the Waldwick High School track. Participants will be motivated by inspirational signs along the route. Overall winners and top age-category finishers will receive commemorative medals. Tech shirts are guaranteed for registrations by April 24th. The first 400 registered participants will receive a goody backpack.

A 1776-themed Patriotic Costume Contest will award prizes for the most creative and patriotic outfits.

Community Impact: A portion of the proceeds will be donated to local causes, including Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation, the Christopher Goodell Scholarship Fund, and others. Last year's event raised $40,000 for over 40 local organizations.

This race is dedicated to the memory of fallen heroes: Marine SSgt. Joseph D’Augustine, Sgt. Christopher Goodell, and Marine Gunnery Sgt. Mark Hopkins.
