4th Annual Swift Bear Trail Run

The 4th Annual Swift Bear Trail Run will be held on Saturday, August 8, 2026, in Hays, MT, during the Hays Powwow in the beautiful Mission Canyon. This year features the addition of a 50K race, alongside the popular 10 Mile and 20 Mile runs.

The 20 Mile run is a loop through the mountains, incorporating 2-track roads, gravel, and approximately 3 miles of pavement. Runners expecting to take more than 6 hours for the 20 Mile run are asked to start at 5:30 am with the 50K runners.

The 50K race has a cutoff time. Runners must reach the last aid station (approximately 10 miles from the finish line) by 1:30 PM (8.5-hour mark) to avoid disqualification.

Prizes will be awarded to the top male and female finishers in the 10 and 20 Mile runs. Prizes for the 50K are TBD.

All runs start and end on the east end of the powwow grounds, near the white canopy and check-in table. Runners should meet at the starting line 30 minutes before their respective run starts.
