Description

The Tourism Trot 5K Run/Walk event aims to bring together students, faculty, staff, families, and members of the community for a fun, healthy activity while supporting an important initiative. The funds raised through registration fees, donations, and sponsorships will go directly towards the Jana Jordan Scholarship Fund, which helps to provide financial assistance to deserving students studying at Fort Hays State University. Jana began her career in tourism as the International Group Tour Guide for Hays Travel for several years and then served 26 years as the Hays Convention and Visitors Bureau Director, retiring in 2014. She passed away in 2019 and a scholarship was created in her honor. She was a tremendous supporter of the tourism and hospitality program at FHSU. She supported a scholarship and made many connections across the state creating opportunities for students and moving forward many tourism initiatives. We would like to keep the scholarship going in honor of supporting FHSU students but need your help in doing so.
