About the Event
The 2024 Cheat Fest 5k is a 5K loop race around the perimeter of Preston County Club on Saturday morning of Cheat River Festival near Kingwood, WV. The race starts at 10 am and includes some gradient and one out-and-back spur to make up the distance on Whetsell Road. The course is mostly asphalt surface with some broken pavement and one 1/4 mile section of gravel road. Proceeds benefit Friends of the Cheat. Every runner and walker gets a free admission to the Cheatfest Festival after the race!
