2025 Bookish 5K & Cookie Fun Run (The Year of the Brownie)

The Waterloo Library & Historical Society presents the 2025 Bookish 5k & the Cookie Fun Run (The Year of the Brownie)! This family friendly race, originally inspired by Laura Numeroff's "If You Give A Mouse A Cookie", will tickle your taste buds AND benefit the Waterloo Library & Historical Society. This year we will be eating CUPCAKES! This year we are continuing our 5K event, but don't worry, you don't have to eat them along your run. We'll have some ready for when you are done! If you are participating in our original 1 mile event there will be 4 Brownies in total so bring your appetite and running shoes to race 1 mile around the Library area of Waterloo. Participants will receive a Book or Cupcake themed medal and registrations under 5 will receive their own copy of this years book.

• Bookish 5K: $35 ($0 for ages 0-5), 8:00AM - 11:00AM EDT. Registration ends August 16, 2025 at 9:00am EDT
• Cookie Fun Run/Walk: $15 ($0 for ages 0-5), 9:30AM - 11:00AM EDT. Registration ends August 16, 2025 at 9:00am EDT
• Bookish 5k Virtual: $35. Registration ends August 16, 2025 at 11:59pm EDT

*In the event of a cancellation, there will be no refunds; your entry fee will be used as a donation to the Waterloo Library & Historical Society.
