On March 1, 2025, Special Olympics Northern California will be hosting a Polar Plunge and 5K timed run to raise funds for Special Olympics and the free life-changing sports, health, educational, and athlete leadership programs offered to children and adults with intellectual disabilities for free.
Registration is $45 and includes a commemorative medal for everyone, with awards presented to first, second, and third place finishers in each category. The Polar Plunge is not a swim but a quick dip in and out of the water followed by post-plunge festivities.
