Join Us for the 20th Annual Walk the Fight & Run the Distance! We’re thrilled to celebrate 20 incredible years of Walk the Fight & Run the Distance—an inspiring event supporting the community outreach and wellness programs of the Muhammad Ali Parkinson Center at Barrow Neurological Institute.
Event Highlights:
- Fun Walk (2 Blocks) – Short, sweet, and perfect for all ages!
- 4K Walk (2.8 miles) – Take in the atmosphere and enjoy the route at your own pace.
- 5K Timed Run (3.2 miles) – For those who want to go the distance and race for a reason!

Registration fees
Prices are inclusive of mandatory charges, items, and fees. Follow the marked walking path along Tempe Town Lake while also enjoying time with friends and families.
Race Day Information
Race Day Registration will be available beginning at 7:30 am at Tempe Beach Park. We accept cash, and credit cards on race day (checks are no longer accepted). Cost of registration on race day will be $50 for the run and $40 for the walk. We welcome wheelchairs, strollers & wagons. Leashed pet friendly. No roller blades/skates, skateboards or motorized devices are allowed on the run or walk courses.
SCHEDULE OF EVENTS:
- 7:30 am Run Registration opens
- 8:00 am 5K Run begins
- 8:30 am Resource Fair, Games and Activity Stations, and Photo Booth
- 9:00 am Welcome
- 9:30 am 4K Walk begins
- 10:00 am 2 Block FUN walk begins
- 12:00 pm Walk the Fight award presentation
Packet Pickup Opportunities
- Friday, February 6, 2026 from 3:00 - 6:00 pm at Road Runner Sports in Tempe
- Saturday, February 7, 2026 at Tempe Beach Park (race location) beginning at 7:30 am.
Team Captain will be responsible for picking up team shirts
