29th Annual Run Wild for the Detroit Zoo

Join us at Run Wild for the Detroit Zoo, presented by Michigan First Credit Union, and make a meaningful impact on the animals who call the Zoo home! This annual event helps raise critical funds to support vital veterinary care for your favorite animals. You can participate in one of two ways:

• 5K Run – A timed, competitive race that takes you on a thrilling course, finishing inside the Detroit Zoo.
• Fun Walk – A non-competitive, leisurely walk inside the Zoo perfect for families, friends, and anyone who wants to enjoy the experience at their own pace.

All participants receive:

• A commemorative Run Wild for the Detroit Zoo T-shirt
• A unique, collectible finisher medal
• Admission to the Detroit Zoo following the race
• Access to the Post Race Party featuring food, a cash bar, live entertainment, photo opportunities, children’s activities and more!
• Free admission to our Dragon Forest

• 5K Run/Walk: $45.00 - $50.00 - $65.00
• 1 Mile Fun Walk: $40.00 - $45.00 - $55.00
• Virtual 5K Run/Walk: $40.00 - $45.00 - $45.00

Important Participant Information:

• Race Packets: In-Person Packet Pickup & Guest Registration will be available at the front of the Detroit Zoo on Saturday, Sept. 6 – 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sunday, Sept. 7 – 6 a.m. to 7:45 a.m. Virtual Packets can be mailed for an additional fee.
• Race Day Registration: Available 6 to 7:45 a.m. on Sunday, Sept. 7. Registration closes 30 minutes before the race starts.
• Important Race Day Reminders! 10 Mile Road will be closed for the 5K—expect heavy traffic! Arrive early to avoid delays.
