31st Annual Tom King Classic Half Marathon and 5K Run/Walk

Celebrating our 31st year of racing, please join us for the 2026 Tom King Classic! The event features a Half Marathon Run and a 5K Run/Walk, with both starting and finishing at Cornelia Fort Airpark. Each race follows certified, fast, and flat out-and-back courses that take runners through Shelby Park and the paved Shelby Bottoms Greenways.

Tom King Classic 5K

Celebrate your accomplishment with post-race food and awards! Please note: Due to parking limitations, the Half Marathon and 5K field combined is limited to 600 participants. Guaranteed shirts for registrations by February 12, 2026 (long sleeve tech shirts for half marathon, long sleeve cotton blend for 5K). Finisher medals for Half Marathon participants. No pets allowed due to liability. We will follow Metropolitan Nashville/Davidson County CoVid policies, which may warrant staggered starts and smaller groups. Social distancing in the start/finish area should be maintained. Hydration will be available in the start/finish area and on the half marathon course.

Packet Pickup:
Early packet pickup will be Friday afternoon, February 27th, from 3:00 PM - 6:00 PM at Shelby Park Community Center, 401 South 20th Street, Nashville, TN 37206.
Race morning packet pickup begins at 6:00 AM at Cornelia Fort Airpark. Please bring photo ID.

Same-day race registration will be available until 7:45 AM.

Race Schedule:
8:00 AM - Start Half Marathon
8:15 AM - Start 5K Run / Walk
5K course closes at 9:15 AM
Half Marathon course closes at 11:30 AM

Parking is free both Friday afternoon at the community center and race morning in Cornelia Fort Airpark grass lots and adjacent streets. Due to limited parking, carpooling or ride shares are strongly encouraged.

The Half Marathon and 5K distances are part of the Nashville Striders 2026 Grand Prix Race Series.
