Race Information
In memory of Paul "Hook" O'Malley, this 1 Mile Firecracker Race aims to support the Spiritual, Emotional, and Physical Health of the youth in his community. All proceeds benefit the Lackawanna county unit of the American Cancer Society.
Location: 707 North South Road, Scranton, PA (Off Keyser Avenue)
Date and Time: Sunday, August 16, 2026 at 10:00 AM EDT
Registration:
- Day of race: 8:15 AM to 9:45 AM - $25.00
- Pre-Registration: $20.00 until Thursday, August 13, 2026
- Junior/Senior High School Track & Cross Country student runners (ages 12-19): $10
Race will be run regardless of weather!
Awards
Top 3 overall male and female; Age groups: 0-10, 11-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-75, 76 & over. Top Male and Female Walker. First overall Boxer award.
