5k for The Kids: The Cosmic Run

This year’s race is going to be an epic sci-fi adventure! 🌟 Whether you’re a Jedi, a Starfleet officer, or a time traveler, we want you to show up as your favorite sci-fi character—or create your own! Get creative and have fun with it. Prizes will be awarded for the best-dressed participants, so let your imagination soar. (BEST COSTUMES WIN PRIZES!!!)

Here’s the important info:

• Date: October 25th, 2025
• Time: 8:00 AM (CDT)
• Location: 108 Legion Pkwy, Oblong, IL (or join virtually—on your own timeline!)
• Entry Fee: $30 (non-refundable)
• Deadline for entry: October 9th (if you want a commemorative t-shirt); otherwise, register by noon on October 25th.

Awards will be presented immediately following the race in the following categories: 10 and under, 11–15, 16–20, 21–30, 31–40, 41–50, 51–60, 61–71, 72 and over (male & female) Overall male and female winners. Note: Virtual participants will not be eligible for awards.
