5km Community Walk

Celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Canberra–Beijing Sister City relationship! This special event brings together people of all ages to honour 25 years of friendship, cultural exchange, and cooperation between Canberra and Beijing. Enjoy a scenic walk through the heart of our community, connect with others, and take part in a celebration of unity and shared spirit between the two cities.

Waiver & Release of Liability

By participating in this event (the “Event”), including running, walking, volunteering, or taking part in any related activity, I acknowledge and agree to the following:

• Assumption of Risk: I understand that participating in a run or walk involves risks such as falls, injuries, medical issues, or other incidents. I choose to participate voluntarily and accept all risks, whether known or unknown.
• Release of Liability: To the fullest extent permitted by law, I release and discharge the Event organisers, sponsors, volunteers, venue owners, and all associated individuals (“Released Parties”) from any liability, claims, or damages arising from my participation. I understand the Released Parties are not responsible for any injury, illness, loss, or damage that may occur.
• Personal Responsibility: I confirm that I am physically able to take part in the Event and accept full responsibility for my own health, safety, and belongings. I will not hold the Event or its organisers liable for any outcome.
• Medical Treatment: If medical assistance is required, I consent to it and understand that the organisers are not responsible for any costs or consequences.
• Compliance: I agree to follow all instructions and safety guidelines provided by Event staff. Failure to comply may result in removal from the Event.
