Lace up and light up the night—The 888 50 Miler is back for its second year, and this time, we’re going overnight! This all-women ultra-distance event is more than just a long run—it's a celebration of strength, sisterhood, and stamina, set under the stars in Severna Park, Maryland. Whether you’re chasing all 50 miles or joining for a single loop, you’re invited to be part of an empowering and unforgettable night.
Starting at 8 PM sharp on August 8, the 888 50 Miler follows a series of 5-ish mile loops through the quiet, moonlit roads of Severna Park. Expect a mix of pavement and open road, with runners returning to a central base point between each loop. With no major elevation and a flat, runnable route, this night-time ultra is all about mental grit and community support.
Want to get in a long run? Perfect. Only have time for a couple miles? We’re thrilled to have you. Want to ride your bike beside us to show support? Let’s go! The spirit of this run is inclusive, unstructured, and totally empowering.
Because this is a grassroots-style, community-led ultra, runners are asked to be fully self-supported. Please bring your own hydration and nutrition to fuel your night. For safety, runners must wear reflective gear and lights—we’ll be out on the open road through the night, and visibility is critical. Maps and route guidance will be provided in advance to help everyone stay on course. This is a self-managed run; while everyone is welcome, please assess your readiness before committing to high mileage.
