Event Details

The Alaska Salmon Runs take place in Cordova, Alaska, on Saturday, July 19, 2025, starting at 7:00 AM AKDT.

Race Courses

The event includes the following races:

• King Salmon Marathon - A point-to-point course with a mix of gravel and paved surfaces, showcasing rivers, mountains, and glaciers.
• Sockeye Half Marathon - This race is also point-to-point and runs towards town.
• Coho 10K - A point-to-point course starting at Eyak Lake.
• Humpy 5K - A point-to-point event that takes you back toward town.
• Smolt One Mile Fun Run/Walk - A one mile loop course around the Cordova Community Medical Center.

Registration

On-line registration closes on July 18 at 5 PM, but you can still register in person on race day at Race HQ (CCMC parking lot).

• King Salmon Marathon: $65 Early Bird (Aug 25 – Jul 16), $75 (Jul 16 – Jul 18)
• Sockeye Half Marathon: $65 Early Bird, $75
• Coho 10K: $20 Early Bird, $25
• Humpy 5K: $20 Early Bird, $25
• Smolt 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk: $20 Early Bird, $25

Post-Race

Enjoy a salmon BBQ lunch at the Pioneer Igloo on First Street at 12:30 PM after the race!
