About the Event
Ames Turkey Trot
The Ames Turkey Trot is a Thanksgiving Day event featuring a 5K and a Turkey Tot Trot (400 meters). The 5K winds through downtown Ames, offering a family-friendly experience for all ages and abilities. Refreshments will be available at the finish line. The Turkey Tot Trot is designed for kids. Participants receive a race t-shirt (if registered by 11/14), finisher's medal, and other items. Packet pickup is available on Wednesday, November 26th from 11:00 am - 5:00 pm and Thursday morning from 7:30 am - 8:45 am at Fitness Sports - Ames.
- 5K: $35, 9:00 AM - 10:00 AM CST
- Turkey Tot Trot - 400 Meters: $10, 10:00 AM - 10:15 AM CST
