The Claremore Museum of History and the Cherokee Nation will kick off Oklahoma's Route 66 centennial celebrations with the Andy Payne Route 66 5K and Fun Run.
This race honors Cherokee Nation citizen Andy Payne, who won the International Trans-Continental Footrace in 1928.
Claremore High School, 201 E. Stuart Roosa, Claremore, OK 74017
The Fun Run takes place at the Claremore High School track, and the 5K begins just west of the intersection of E. Stuart Roosa and Florence Avenue.
Parking is available at Claremore High School and Will Rogers Junior High School. E. Stuart Roosa will be closed to traffic for this race.
USATF sanctioned/certified 5K course with electronic timing by Tatur Racing. Medals will be awarded to the top three finishers in each gender and age group category.
Registration for a guaranteed T-shirt closes at midnight on March 27. Shirts are not guaranteed for registrations after this date.
Participants in the virtual race who sign up by March 27 are guaranteed a shirt, which will be mailed after the race.
Race day registration begins at 7 AM. Registration will be credit/debit card only.
