One Weekend. Five Distances. Run, Laugh, and Connect at Armidale’s Inaugural Running Festival.

The Armidale Running Festival is more than just a race weekend – it's a celebration of community, movement, and everything that makes Armidale special. With events for all ages and abilities, from a 1-kilometre Kids Dash to a half marathon, it invites everyone to get involved and experience the beauty of the high-altitude landscape. But the festival goes far beyond the track. Held in the heart of town at Civic Park, the event will feature live music, local food, community stalls, and a massive market – the biggest the region has ever seen. With kids' activities, play areas, picnic zones, and space to relax, it's designed as a full-day experience for families, locals, and visitors alike.

The running schedule includes a 1-kilometre free fun run for kids, followed by 3-kilometre, 5-kilometre, and 10-kilometre runs on Saturday, with the half marathon taking place on Sunday. These options offer something for every fitness level and make the weekend inclusive and accessible for all.

Prices are inclusive of mandatory charges, items, and fees

• For Children in year 3 and below only: Free (Nov 1 - Feb 21)
• 3km Run: $25.00 (Early Bird Nov 1 – Dec 21), $35.00 (Standard Dec 22 – Feb 21)
• 5km Run: $35.00 (Early Bird Nov 1 – Dec 21), $45.00 (Standard Dec 22 – Feb 21)
• 10km Run: $45.00 (Early Bird Nov 1 – Dec 21), $55.00 (Standard Dec 22 – Feb 21)
• Half Marathon: $55.00 (Early Bird Nov 1 – Dec 21), $65.00 (Standard Dec 22 – Feb 21)

Prizes

We will be offering prize money for the Half Marathon and the 10km race, with equal amounts for male and female competitors!

• Half Marathon: 1st Place – $750, 2nd Place – $500, 3rd Place – $250
• 10km Run: 1st Place – $500, 2nd Place – $250, 3rd Place – $100
