About the Event
Event Details
The AVL Runway 5K is one of the most distinctive races in the region, attracting both aviation enthusiasts and runners alike. The 5K starts on a road near the airfield, takes participants along Taxiway Bravo, and loops around the area adjacent to the active runway.
All race-day activities are based at the southwest corner of Asheville Regional Airport, with shuttle services available from the designated parking area.
Registration Fees
- May 11 – Sep 30: $35.00 (Register for 5K With Short Sleeve Shirt)
- Oct 1 – Oct 8: $40.00 (Race Cap, limited to 1,000 participants)

Special awards will be presented to the top three male and female overall finishers, as well as the top three in specified age groups.
