About this event Event lasts 2 hours 40 minutes In his last year as mayor, Klaas Reimer Barkman hid his favourite books around Steinbach. Now you’re going to find them. 7:49am at KR Barkman Park (by the fire hall) on Saturday, April 12. Rain, snow, or shine. Registration starts 7:00, runner meeting 7:39. You won’t want to miss it. Entry fee, to be delivered at time of event $2.25 cash (no change given) 1 bag of knack zoat (sunflower seeds) Be prepared to - Run around for about 25km (5 laps or varying distance, exact distance is up to you) - Read a map for navigation - Be self-sufficient for fueling - Find books This is a Barkley-inspired event, but don’t worry, you’ll be home by lunch (depending on when you eat lunch). There will be elements of way-finding and the unknown involved, but the chance of hallucinations is low(er). As an open-course event, be sure to follow all rules of the road and be smart. You are responsible for you. Registration is free, but you will not be allowed to participate unless you bring the items detailed above.
