The 12th Annual Barney's Run for Warriors RESCUE TWO LIVES- a veteran and a dog! We are proud supporters of K9’s for Warriors based in Ponte Vedra, Florida. Proceeds from our race purchase a highly trained service dog for an area veteran. Ninety five percent of the dogs trained by K9’s are rescued from shelters with high kill rates. The veterans that graduate from the K9’s for Warriors program are able to resume a more normal life. Our 13.1, 10k, and 5k races are USATF certified. CASH PRIZE FOR OVERALL FEMALE AND MALE IN THE 1/2 MARATHON, 10K and 5K!!!!! Remember you can bring your dog to run with you on the 1mile, 5K or the 10K. Enjoy running on our nearly flat, paved, and well marked courses through Albany neighborhoods. We have plenty of water stations, pit stops, great t-shirts and swag bags. Help stop the 22 daily suicides of our military veterans and honor them with a lifesaving service dog. Give them both a new leash on life.
