About the Event
Be the One Walk
The Be the One Walk is on Sunday, September 21, 2025 in Dekalb, IL. This walk aims to raise awareness about veteran suicide, destigmatize mental health support, and connect veterans with available resources. The event begins at 10:00 AM CDT with a welcome and overview, concluding around 12:00 PM CDT. Registration begins at 9:00 AM CDT. A shorter 1-mile route is also available.
Location: Northwestern Medicine Kishwaukee Health and Wellness Center, 626 Bethany Road, Dekalb, IL 60115, US
Activities: Tai Chi, Chair Yoga, Labyrinth Meditation, and various exhibits focusing on veteran mental health support and services. Refreshments will be provided.
Course: 2.2 miles on sidewalks and asphalt pathways.
