Big Tex Backyard Ultra
The Big Tex Backyard Ultra takes place at Stephen F. Austin State Park in San Felipe, TX. It's a "last runner standing" event with a 4.17-mile loop starting every hour until only one runner remains. The race includes the Last Runner Standing and Lil Tex Kids K events.
Last Runner Standing: This event features a 4.17-mile loop, starting every hour on the hour. The last runner to complete a loop wins. Runners completing 24 yards (loops) receive a 100-mile buckle. The winner receives a dollar for every mile run, and the second-place runner receives a dollar for every yard completed.
Lil Tex Kids K: A kids' race open to ages 1-14.
