Blackberry Festival 5K

Join us for the 2nd Annual Blackberry Festival 5K at the Carlisle Blackberry Festival! This exciting event will take place on Saturday, July 6, 2024, at 8:00 am in the heart of downtown Carlisle, at the Nicholas County Courthouse. The race offers various courses and prices to cater to different preferences and abilities.

The main event is the 5K Run/Walk, covering a distance of 3.1 miles. Participants can choose from three different price options: $20.00, $25.00, or $30.00, depending on their registration date. This course promises a scenic route through the charming streets of Carlisle.

For the little ones, there is the Fastest Kid in Town race, covering a distance of 50 yards. This event is open to all kids aged 12 and under and is completely free. Parents have the option to purchase a commemorative shirt for $10. The Fastest Kid in Town race will have separate age categories, with winners from each category competing in a final race. All participating kids will receive a participation medal.

If you prefer a virtual running or walking experience, you can join the Virtual Runner/Walker category. This allows you to complete the 3.1-mile distance at your own convenience, wherever you are. The registration fee for this category is $25.00.

The Blackberry Festival 5K is not just about the race. It offers a range of features and activities to enhance your experience. Participants will receive commemorative race T-shirts and chip timing, thanks to RaceRise. Awards will be given to the top overall and age group finishers. Free race photos will capture your memorable moments.

You can also join social teams to expand your race experience. There will be a prize for the largest team. After the race, you can enjoy food, fun, music, and fellowship in the heart of the Carlisle Blackberry Festival. This event is a great opportunity to support the Nicholas County Cross Country Team.
