Location: 1000 Canyon Blvd, Mammoth Lakes, United States

Description: Skin to Win Lung–burning fun for all at the Mammoth Caldera Burn – a ski mountaineering challenge starting from Canyon Lodge. Participants will skin through five ascents on Mammoth Mountain. This event is suitable for backcountry skiers of all skill levels.

Registration Fees

• Early Bird Registration: $75 (available until March 21, 2025)
• Advance Registration: $85 (available until April 13, 2025)
• Week-of Registration: $95 (April 14-18, 2025, no day-of registration available)

There will be walk-up registration available during bib pick-up at Canyon Lodge on April 18th from 4-7 PM.

Event Schedule

• April 18, 2025: 4-7 PM - On-Site Registration at Canyon Lodge
• April 18, 2025: 6 PM - Mandatory Racer Meeting + Course Briefing at Canyon Lodge
• April 19, 2025: 7:30 AM - Race Starts at Canyon Lodge
• April 19, 2025: 12:30 PM - Awards and After Party at Start/Finish area

Course Distances

• Long Course: 4,800 ft gain and loss over 7 miles
• Short Course: 2,700 ft gain and loss over 5 miles

Equipment Rentals: 20% off demo rates for Ski Mountaineering Racers available at Mammoth Mountaineering Supply.
Refund Policy: Full refund minus processing fees until 24 hours before the event; no refunds after then. In case of cancellation, full refunds will be provided.
