Cervélo presents: The Shortest Day, Longest Ride

Are you ready for the final challenge of the year? Cervélo presents: The Shortest Day, Longest Ride. Ride on a Caledonia-5 test bike!

On Sunday the 21st of December you can join us for a special ride. We will ride the longest ride on the shortest day of the year, cycling from sunrise to sunset!

We’ll be riding in two groups. Team Ride Out’s ride leaders will take you out on the road. This ride will cover approximately 180 km or 150 km, so it’s important to come prepared.

For this ride group riding experience is required and a helmet and clipless pedals (klikpedalen) are mandatory. Participating is at your own risk and we expect everybody to be trained enough to fulfill this ride. Please bring bike lights and enough food with you during the ride. It's going to be a looooong day. Also bring your spare parts in case of a flat.

Cervélo Caledonia-5 Test bikes available

The Cervélo Caledonia-5 is your partner in crime during your big, stupid rides. We have five test bikes available that you can test for free during this ride. Reserve your bike during registration. Do not forget to measure your saddle height and bring your pedals.

Program:

• We gather at 08:30 sharp for a coffee to roll out at 08:49 (sunrise).
• The 150km group will stop for an optional coffee after about 30km. After this we will enjoy lunch at 75+km where we will stop for lunch.
• At 75% of the ride we'll stop for Coffee and Cake before doing the last stretch back home.
• The 180km group will have its first stop at 40km for a coffee if you would like. After this lunch will be at 100+km where we will stop for lunch.
• At 75% of the ride we'll stop for Coffee and Cake before doing the last stretch back home.
• Our aim is for both groups to return to Ride Out at 16:31pm (sunset) but please be mindful that it could take longer. Bring bicycle lights on this ride, in case we unexpectedly run into a delay.
• Once back at Ride Out, the beers will be cold and the chocolate milk will be hot. Also we'll have some fried snacks.

What's included:

Tickets are €20 and will include coffee before and the ride, a lunch stop, and beverages and snacks after the ride.
