Come join us for a beautiful run through aspen and pine forests with sweeping views of the Yampa Valley. Both the 16M and 50K have ample climbing, the 16 mile race has over 3,500 ft. of elevation gain, with the high point on the course at 10,420 ft. Most of the climbing in both distances come in the first 7.5 miles. Rough estimates for the 50K are 5,500 ft. of elevation gain, with much of the distance covered at or above 10,000 ft. Beginning and ending at the Steamboat Ski Area you will not want to miss this Northern Colorado classic as it climbs to the top of the ski area and continues to Long Lake for the 50K! Please visit our website for maps and elevation profiles. The 5 miler was a more recent addition to add a distance for everyone. This distance climbs from the base to the Creekside Trail and back covering >1000ft in the first 2.5.M.
